Stream Table

The Stream Table is a popular exhibit at fairs and festivals in Southern Oregon

The Illinois Valley Stream Team offers you the opportunity to “Build a (Better) Watershed”, right at your fingertips! Our Stream Table exhibit is a hands-on learning tool that allows young and old alike to explore things like erosion—when the earth is worn away by water—stream sinuosity—how much the stream curves, or doesn’t—and riparian vegetation—the plants that grow next to streams.

Get your hands dirty--but not too dirty!--while learning about streams

Build a place for the stream to flow; set up logs, rocks, fences, houses, and culverts; then turn on the water and see what happens!
The Stream Team is happy to bring our travelling educational Stream Table exhibit to classrooms and club meetings throughout the Illinois Valley in southern Oregon, and the Stream Table is always a big hit at our events.
