Apply to serve as a StreamTeam Board member
The Illinois Valley Soil & Water Conservation District (IVSWCD) and Illinois Valley Watershed Council (IVWC) are now accepting applications to fill a vacancy on the Watershed Council. IVWC Members serve on a voluntary basis and also serve as Associate Directors on the IVSWCD Board. Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Be a resident of the Illinois Valley;
- Have demonstrated a commitment to the environment;
- Have demonstrated the ability to work in cooperation with other community members; and
- Be willing to accomplish the goals of the Watershed Council.
Monthly District and Council meetings are usually held the 4th Thursday of the month, from 6 to 8 pm.
Applications are available in person, by mail, fax, or email. Completed applications are due by 4 pm on December 14, 2011. Woody debris collection began on Sucker Creek last week. Construction on the side channel will begin on 8/17/2009
